UPDATE...

As some of you know, old Swampy just looooves her "ban" button.  I thought I had banned Jon Wood himself at the same time I wrote the first post in this thread.  Especially since the guy hasn't been on site for over 400 days.
Our good friend Jolub has informed Sorrell that he wasn't banned.  That little oversight has now been remedied.

The question remains...what poor schlub DID I ban that day? :ohmy

It uses Futurebet Systems software (yikes!) but it's owned by JWG Entertainment, as in Jon Wood himself.

Normally we wouldn't touch Futurebet with a rancid meatcicle but we had reason at the time to have faith in the owner.

Is JonWoodGaming part of a network or a standalone pokerroom?

If part of a network, do we need to be concerned about the rest of the network?

Some extra info...
http://thebluelizardlounge.com/smf/index.php?topic=2813.0

Notice one complaint resolved...but then long time member Jolub relates his story.  Sorrell then tries to get hold of Jon to find out wtf was up with Jolub's missing moneys.  It was at that point that communication stopped.  Unacceptable.

As many of you long time Lizards know, we have promoted JonWoodGaming off and on through its incarnations...mainly on the belief that Jon Wood himself was a standup kind of guy.  Disputes between our members and Jon Wood have for the most part been dealt with in a timely manner, usually to the benefit of the player.

We have been hearing for some time though the rumblings that, once again, there was trouble...whether it's with Jon himself or his software provider, we couldn't be sure...because unfortunately communication between The Lizard and Jon has been cut off.  NOT from our end.

When communication stopped, so did our endorsement of JonWoodGaming.  All banners were pulled, all promotions ceased.  If we can't get hold of someone, how can we mediate...and if we can't mediate, how could we expect our members to trust our recommendations?

Seems we were not premature in this decision...as even Casinomeister has posted a warning...

The Blue Lizard cannot in all good conscience recommend JonWoodGaming.  For those of you who are fans of this particular poker room, sorry about that, but this isn't the first time we have dropped rooms that haven't lived up to The Lizard's expectations for our members.
